What is the Sommuto mattress made of?
The Sommuto mattresses are made using technology advanced polyurethane foams.
Top Layer: MEMair Breeze™ memory foam provides pressure relieving properties coupled with Ultra High breathability that aids in achieving the “Optimum Temperature” as you sleep.
Centre Layer: Engineered high resilience foam with a convoluted surface encourages airflow and provides comfort and support.
Base Layer: Durable high-density foam provides support for reduced disturbance.
What makes Sommuto unique?
The Sommuto mattress is engineered to keep you cool and comfortable. MEMair Breeze™ has 8 times higher airflow than traditional memory foam by providing superior evaporative cooling for optimum comfort.
What bed surface can my Sommuto mattress be placed on?
The Sommuto mattress is suitable to be placed on any firm and flat surface. This includes slat base and adjustable beds.
Please note that if slats are used, they should be no further than 10cm apart.
Can I use an electric blanket?
Yes, you can, but we do not recommend it. If you do choose to use one, we recommend you contact the electric blanket manufacturer to ensure its ok to use on your foam mattress.
Should I use a mattress protector?
We strongly recommend you use a mattress protector to ensure the mattress remains in a clean and hygienic state. Dependent on what type of mattress protector you use, this might change the overall feel of your mattress.
Is it environmentally safe?
All foams used in the Sommuto mattress are made to the highest standard.
Our foams are low VOC and do not contain mercury, lead or formaldehyde. The technology our supplier uses is the highest standard in CO2 foaming manufacturing and they also have a strong emphasis on ethical recycling.
Can I try before I buy?
The best way to try your mattress is in your own home.
Sommuto offers a 100-morning risk-free trial to all customers.
How does the 100 morning trial period work?
You wake up on your Sommuto mattress for 100 mornings. We want you to be happy. So take your time getting to know how refreshing it feels to wake up on your new mattress.
We ask that you sleep on your mattress for at least 30 days whilst your body adapts to your new mattress. We’re sure you will love it!
If you’re not 100% in love with it after 100 mornings, we’ll come and collect it and give you a full refund.
What is zipMoney?
zipMoney is a simple, convenient and flexible payment option that allows you to buy now and pay later with no credit card required. Once signed up, you can make as many purchases as you like with us, as long as you stay under your credit limit and make your minimum repayments each month.
Your personalised zipMoney account puts you in direct control of your online spending, enabling you to purchase or repay as much and as often as you like!
How does it work?
1. Find an item you love and select zipMoney at checkout.
2. Complete a quick application and get a decision in real-time.
3. Pay for your item with the funds in your new digital account. That’s it!
How long does the application process take? What is involved?
An online application process takes less than 3 minutes. You simply choose the appropriate credit limit, input your residential, employment and financial information, and verify your identity through an SMS code. You need to have your own email address and mobile phone number in order to complete an application. After submitting your application, zipMoney will assess the information provided and determine whether to approve your account. What happens after the application is approved?
If approved, zipMoney will send an activation link to your email address. The activation step will detail your contract, and requires you to provide your payment details for your regular direct debit payment. You can now use your account to purchase anything from our online store.

What is an interest free period?
Your interest free period refers to the length of time for which your purchase will not incur interest. After this period, your outstanding balance will accumulate interest at the standard annual rate (outlined in your zipMoney contract).

How do I set up repayments?
Once you have made a purchase, you can set up your zipMoney repayments to fall monthly, fortnightly or weekly at whatever amount suits you (provided this is greater than the monthly minimum). zipMoney will automatically attempt to take those repayments so there is no need for you to make them.

What if I make additional payments?
You can also make additional payments whenever you like via card or BPay. However, please be aware that your scheduled payment will still process even if you make an additional one off payment.

How do I get a refund under the 100 mornings guarantee?
To be entitled to receive a refund, you can must a claim by completing our online refund & returns claim form providing all relevant information with any incomplete or incorrect information provided may delay the claims process. We will then contact you after reviewing your claim within 5 business days.**This applies to mattresses only**
What condition does a mattress have to be in to be returned?
A mattress must be in a clean and hygienic state to be distributed to the nearest charity or recycled centre. Any stains or mistreatment of the mattress can void the warranty and revoke any claim for a refund.
What would negate a refund to be given?
If the mattress is found to be in an unsantiary or unhygienic condition upon inspection then no refund will be given.
What is the Sommuto warranty?
In the unlikely event that a product fails to meet our high standards, Sommuto offers a guarantee to the original purchaser to repair the product against faulty workmanship and materials for the period of 10 years. To be able to make a claim under any of the guarantees you must keep your original proof of purchase receipt.
Sommuto gives to the original purchaser a 10 year guarantee on mattress only product against defects in workmanship and materials. If during the period of 10 years from the date of your purchase of this product, a defect caused by faulty workmanship or materials appears,
Sommuto gives to the original purchaser a 1 year guarantee on pilows only product against defects in workmanship and materials. If during the period of 1 year from the date of your purchase of this product, a defect caused by faulty workmanship or materials appears,
Sommuto will repair your mattress within a reasonable time after receiving your valid guarantee claim. If the defect appears within the 12 months of the guarantee period, Sommuto will also pay all transportation costs, or reimburse such costs incurred by you where Sommuto has authorised, in relation to the repair of the mattress.
Rights under the Australian Consumer Law
The benefits given by the guarantee set out in this document are in addition to any other rights and remedies you may have under a law in relation to the goods to which the guarantee relates. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
How do I claim under warranty?
To be entitled to make a claim under your guarantee you must notify us of the defect within 30 days after it has appeared. You can make a claim by completing our online warranty claim form providing all relevant information with any incomplete or incorrect information provided may delay the claims process. We will then contact you after reviewing your claim within 5 business days.
What does this Warranty not cover?
- Mattress that, on inspection by Sommuto is found to be stained or in an unsanitary condition;
- Mattress damage caused by the mattress being on a slat base where the slats are more than 10cm apart;
- Mattress damage caused by defective timber or metal slats;
- Mattress damage caused by a base system that does not give even support;
- Mattress damage caused by a base system that does not provide adequate support in the centre;
- Normal wear and tear, or damage caused by mishandling, abuse. misuse or negligence including folding, bending, standing on or incorrect storage of the mattress;
- Except as expressly stated, this guarantee does not include any right to be reimbursed or compensated for physical or financial injury, loss, damage, expense, time or inconvenience (whether direct or indirect) arising out of the occurrence of the defect in the mattress or your inability to use the mattress;
- Any use of this product other than the use for which it was originally intended is not the responsibility of Sommuto.
